Project description:
The analysis of timetable services in the District of Schwandorf provided the basis for the further development and optimisation of public transport in line with the funding requirements of the Free State of Bavaria. The focus was on adapting the existing BAXI timetables to the criteria set out in the guideline for the funding of demand-responsive public transport services (ErNa).

As part of the project, we systematically assessed all localities with at least 200 inhabitants in the District of Schwandorf with regard to the existing timetable offer during the funding-relevant time periods defined under ErNa. Based on this analysis, we developed targeted proposals for adjusting and optimising the existing BAXI timetables while retaining the existing corridors and routes.

The objective of the project was to establish the conditions required for funding under the ErNa guideline through a sound analysis and practical recommendations, thereby contributing to the future-oriented development of demand-responsive transport in the District of Schwandorf.
